Would you know what to do if someone collapsed?

We can deliver interactive first aid workshops and certified courses to schools and youth organisations. We can give first aid awareness training to a whole year group or a certified course for up to 12 people.

> Our costs are normally per person, with a minimum charge for 10 people.

> The cost is exclusive of VAT at prevailing rate (Schools can usually claim this back).

> One teacher or youth worker can get a certificate free of charge with every group.

> We often have funding to reduce costs for vulnerable groups or organisations with limited funding – this can be applied for using the application form at the back of the pack.

> There may be additional travel costs where several short sessions are requested.

We can offer a four hour session to cover the first aid required by the Expedition Section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The cost is as for a First Aid Awareness session.

> Skills Section

We can run a first aid course over a number of sessions to cover the Skills Section of the Award.

> Volunteering Section

We can run first aid or humanitarian education training for young people to raise awareness as peer educators within their community. Only 25% of the time may be included as training, the remaining 75% must be in delivering the awareness within their communities or undertaking first aid at public events (min age 15).

Training teachers to deliver first aid training

We can train school staff to deliver first aid training:

> Life. Live it. Education kit – this is an excellent kit educators with no first aid knowledge can use to train their students – we can offer a 2 hour awareness session for learning support assistants or teachers to use our First Aid Education kit. The training kit is £120 inc. VAT and includes all the resources needed to teach the course. See www.lifeliveit.org or contact us for more information.

> Teachers who hold a first aid certificate and attend a one-day training module with us can become Red Cross Trainers and deliver Red Cross certificates to their pupils and staff.
